Meet Holly
Cheerful • Affectionate • Playful
Holly is a cheerful little girl with a blue dapple coat and an expression that is hard to look away from. We're introducing her as the sunny one of the group — affectionate, playful, and happy to be included in whatever the family is doing. Her silver-and-charcoal dappling and soft long ears give her a look entirely her own. Personality notes describe her as she is now as a puppy rather than a guarantee of adult temperament.

Learn About Puppy VisitsAbout This Puppy
Holly is an eight-week-old female blue dapple Miniature Dachshund puppy, available now at $1,100, AKC registered with vaccinations up to date. Blue dapple is one of the less common looks in the breed: a diluted blue-grey ground broken by darker charcoal patching across her back and shoulders, a finely speckled face, and soft long ears that frame her eyes. Every photograph here comes from her everyday life — her indoor playpen, a favorite sunny spot by the patio door, the couch she disappears under for a nap, and the grass pad outside she is already using. She is comfortable in a normal household with movement, toys, and people coming and going, which is a deliberate part of how Honeybrook raises a litter. Families searching for a female blue dapple Dachshund puppy usually want a small, indoor-sized companion who wants to be near her people, and Holly is being placed with that kind of home in mind. Text us for more photographs of her dappling, a short video, or a walkthrough of what reserving her involves.
Care and health information is published only where Honeybrook Miniature Dachshunds has confirmed it applies to this puppy.
Holly's Coat — Common Questions
What is a dapple Dachshund?
Dapple is a coat pattern, not a color. It produces irregular lighter patches over a darker base color, so a chocolate dapple has chocolate as its base with lighter mottling. Some dapple dogs also have blue eyes or partially blue eyes. Dapple describes appearance only and says nothing about a dog's temperament or trainability.
What is the difference between long-haired and smooth-haired Dachshunds?
A smooth (shorthair) Dachshund has a short, sleek, close-lying coat that needs very little maintenance — a weekly wipe-down or brush is usually enough. A long-haired Dachshund has a longer, silkier coat with feathering on the ears, chest, legs and tail; that feathering keeps growing and can tangle, so long-haired dogs need regular brushing, especially behind the ears and on the trousers and tail.
How much do Miniature Dachshunds shed?
Dachshunds shed moderately year-round, with heavier seasonal changes. Smooth coats shed short hairs that are easy to lift with a rubber curry or grooming mitt. Long coats shed longer hairs that are more visible on furniture and clothing but are easier to manage with consistent brushing. No Dachshund coat variety is considered hypoallergenic.
