A chocolate dapple Dachshund has a chocolate (brown) base coat carrying the dapple pattern, giving it lighter mottled patches across the body. Nose leather and eye rims on chocolate dogs are typically brown rather than black, and eye color can range from dark to lighter amber, sometimes with one or both eyes blue.
What is the difference between long-haired and smooth-haired Dachshunds?
